Fixed Gas Detectors

Concept Controls offers two main categories of fixed gas detectors: transmitters and controllers. Relying primarily on a gas sensor, a fixed gas detection transmitter converts data from the gas sensor into an analog output signal, either as analog current, analog voltage, or frequency.

Gas detection transmitters may be categorized according to the number and types of gases sensed, but are typically rated based on whether they detect combustible or toxic gas, although variants that feature oxygen gas sensors and water vapor gas sensors are also available. Additionally, gas detection transmitters may display their data on an attached monitor, can feature alarms, and are available with different measurement options.

In situations where more than one gas detection transmitters are used, a fixed gas detection controller can be useful. Gas detection controllers enable multiple gas detection transmitters to be monitored, and are frequently part of larger safety systems.
