Concept Controls offers a range of single and multi-sensor portable gas monitors to help determine the presence, quantity, and composition of potentially hazardous gases. Depending on the type of gas detector, it can be equipped with sensors to detect toxic gas, oxygen depletion, VOCs, PIDs, and more. Special features on some gas analyzers such as alarms, lights, and motion sensors can help indicate the presence of a gas leak and alert the wearer. In order to accurately function as part of a safety system, each gas detector should be properly calibrated against a calibration gas to establish a reference scale.
Portable gas detectors are typically worn on personnel to protect against unsafe conditions in the workplace environment, and operate via semiconductors, oxidation, catalytic, or infrared sensors, depending on the exact type of gas monitor.
